BW Sonni's Stuyvesant Sissy

Sissy is what you call a God given blessing on a very sad day. That very early morning when we found her mother, Sonni that was due to calve any day but she was a week early…. she had been trying to deliver a backwards calf with a leg tucked back. Needless to say, we weren’t there quick enough. We pulled the lifeless heifer calf and then cared for Sonni. We left her for a bit to mother her baby as nature would have it but returned a ½ later to take care of the situation. This is the best part…. when returned, there laid a beautiful, healthy, very alive heifer calf right next to Sonni! She had delivered beautiful twin heifers and we were blessed with little Sissy, alive and well! She has proved to be a mirror image of her mother and she is the one of the sweetest of our herd. She is now a young playful mother and so very happy. A real joy to have in our herd!
